The heart behind the hook

I've been writing songs for as long as I can remember, and after all these years, music still feels like magic to me. ✨

It’s this universal language that somehow transcends words, culture, distance, even time. You don't have to speak the same language or come from the same place to feel something. Music just finds you. It reaches who it's meant to reach, sometimes in ways you could never predict.

My favorite kind of magic is creating something from nothing. Taking an idea or a spark of inspiration, filtering it through your own lens, flavor, and voice, and watching it come to life as something completely your own. Then putting it out into the world and watching other people connect with something you created? That’s bliss to me.

Music has taken a lot of different shapes in my life. I've been a background vocalist, a solo artist, part of a girl group, a country duo, even an a cappella group. I've kind of done a little bit of everything.

These days, I write for sync, write with and for other artists, sing demos, and still write and release my own music. Writing for myself will always be my creative outlet...the place where I can follow whatever I'm feeling and see where it takes me.

Genre-wise, I'm kind of all over the place. Pop will probably always feel like home, but I love R&B, soul, dance, rock, hip-hop, k-pop, gospel...if it makes me feel something, I'm in.

At the end of the day, I just want to make music that means something to somebody. The song you blast with the windows down. The one you ugly cry to. The one that takes you right back to a person, a place, or a version of yourself you almost forgot. If something I helped create gets to become a little piece of someone else's story, that's the whole point.
